Step into a key role supporting a busy imaging department, where you’ll utilize your expertise as an X-ray technologist to provide exceptional diagnostic imaging services. The facility operates with a high daily volume—averaging 180 exams per day—across several suites including ER, main floor, outpatients, and multiple portables.
Schedule/Hours:
- Options include three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week (rotational weekends required)
- Some on-call coverage; 12-hour call shifts overnight and on weekends, primarily for critical needs
- Holiday shifts aligned with your scheduled days
- Up to 7 days of requested time off may be approved
- Flexibility with hours is necessary but scheduling aims to maximize consecutive days off
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on radiologic technologist experience
- Active ARRT certification and state radiologic technologist license
- BLS certification required
- Comfortable floating within the hospital, including OR
- Experience with C-arm and portable imaging; O-arm familiarity is a plus, or willingness to learn
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR and McKesson PACS (Change Healthcare)
- Excellent attention to detail, adaptability, and commitment to high-quality patient care
- First-time travelers with strong foundational skills are welcome
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a wide range of inpatient and outpatient X-ray procedures, including transplant, cardiac, trauma, and critical care studies
- Operate modern imaging equipment such as Shimadzu and GE portables, Carestream ER units, OEC C-arms, and O-arms
- Collaborate with a supportive team consisting of supervisors and fellow technologists
- Uphold stringent safety and quality standards, and ensure accurate image capture and patient documentation
