A skilled Radiologic Technologist is needed for a contract assignment supporting a busy imaging department. The role requires proficiency with X-ray imaging, including general studies, portables, and fluoro procedures. This opportunity features a supportive environment with comprehensive orientation and cross-training between multiple imaging areas.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Steady afternoon and midnight coverage
  • Every other weekend, midnight shift

Qualifications:

  • Current, unexpired driver’s license (copy required for submission; must live at least 50 miles from facility)
  • Active ARRT certification
  • Valid BLS and West Virginia X-ray License
  • WV CARES clearance required before start
  • Ability to function across all X-ray areas (General, Portables, OR, Fluoro)
  • First time travelers welcome
  • Full disclosure of any licensing hits at time of submission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general X-ray studies, including OR cases (cystos, ortho, GI) and fluoro cases (ortho, GI)
  • Float between general department, fluoro, and OR as needed
  • Manage average daily volume of 110 studies/scans
  • Work independently on overnight shifts and collaborate with 6–7 technologists during peak hours
  • Utilize Community Works EMR and Intellirad/Intelliconnect PACS
  • Operate a variety of equipment including GE, Philips, Siemens, and Del Medical systems
  • Adhere to professional dress code; scrubs of any color are accepted if clean and neat
  • Participate in weekend and potential holiday rotations

Orientation & Support:

  • Department-specific orientation with five preceptor-led shifts
  • Ongoing guidance from Imaging Director, Manager, and afternoon Lead Tech
  • In-house radiology coverage until 5 p.m.; consultative support after hours
