X-Ray Tech in Prospect, KY

Take the next step in your imaging career as a Radiologic Technologist, providing high-quality X-ray services in a dynamic healthcare environment serving a diverse patient population of both inpatients and outpatients. You’ll be working in well-equipped facilities including ER, main floor, outpatient areas, as well as using portable imaging technology throughout the hospital, including the OR.

Schedule/Hours:

• Three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week (dependent on specific assignment)
• Weekend rotation required (12-hour weekend shifts)
• Possibility of on-call (overnight weekdays, 12-hour weekend call as needed with 1-hour response time)
• Flexibility required for optimal scheduling and coordinated time off

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as an X-ray Tech/Radiologic Technologist
• Active ARRT certification
• Current BLS certification
• State licensure
• Experience with C-arm and portable X-ray equipment
• Willingness to learn O-arm technology (O-arm experience preferred but not required)
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability
• Open to first-time travelers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform high volumes of X-ray exams (averaging 180 per day) in ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings
• Support both transplant and cardiac units, critical care, OR, ER, athletes, and trauma patients
• Utilize EMR and PACS systems (Cerner and McKesson/Change Healthcare) for accurate image management and record-keeping
• Float between various units, including the OR, as needed
• Collaborate with experienced supervisors and fellow Radiologic Technologists
• Maintain proper infection control and safety protocols
