X-Ray Technician in Prospect, KY

Advance your radiologic technology career in a dynamic imaging department, serving a high-volume hospital environment with an average of 266 patients per day. This contract opportunity offers a variety of cases, including inpatient, outpatient, ER, OR, portables, and trauma studies, allowing you to utilize and expand your technical skills alongside a supportive, collaborative team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Choice between 4 x 10-hour shifts or 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Variable weekend rotation; every third weekend if scheduled
• Holiday coverage as part of the rotation
• No on-call responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of radiologic technologist experience
• Valid ARRT certification and state licensure (KBMIRT)
• BLS certification required
• Competence with general x-ray, ortho, trauma, and portable radiography
• OR and O-arm experience preferred but not mandatory (ER experience utilized as needed)
• Open to first-time travelers eager to grow in a fast-paced setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver diagnostic imaging services across inpatient, outpatient, ER, OR, and trauma settings
• Float between departments as necessary: ER, OR, and portables
• Efficiently manage a patient load of approximately 20 per shift
• Document procedures and patient information using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with a well-resourced team, including lead techs, front desk support, phlebotomy, IV/vascular access team, and 24/7 hospitalist, RT, and intensivist coverage
• Assist in maintaining and operating a range of imaging equipment including Shimadzu, Konica, Fuji, Carestream, GE, Phillips c-arms, and Medtronic o-arm
