Travel CT Technologist Assignment Overview

Soliant Health is seeking a skilled Travel CT Technologist in South Lake Tahoe, CA to join the Medical Imaging team at Barton Health.

This position performs diagnostic CT, CT Angiography (CTA), and advanced post-processing procedures while delivering exceptional patient care to a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric through geriatric. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently while maintaining high standards of image quality, patient safety, and departmental efficiency.

As a member of a collaborative imaging team, you'll work with advanced imaging technology, archive studies into PACS, assist physicians during procedures, and help provide outstanding diagnostic services within a respected Level III Trauma Center.

CT Technologist Responsibilities

The Travel CT Technologist will be responsible for:

Performing diagnostic CT and CT Angiography (CTA) examinations
Completing advanced image post-processing
Producing high-quality diagnostic images according to department protocols
Operating CT equipment safely and efficiently
Archiving images into the PACS system
Maintaining accurate documentation and daily imaging records
Performing imaging procedures on pediatric through geriatric patients
Assisting physicians during CT-guided procedures when needed
Maintaining imaging equipment and department supplies
Providing exceptional patient care while ensuring radiation safety standards
Required Qualifications for Travel CT Technologist Job

Qualified candidates must have:

Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
Previous experience working independently in a hospital imaging department
Ability to complete all CT competency requirements
Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and quality assurance
Experience with PACS systems
Computer proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
Required Licensure & Certifications

Candidates must have:

Active California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License
ARRT (R) Certification
ARRT (CT) Certification (or registry eligible within six months of hire)
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
California Fluoroscopy License

Candidates may begin the assignment with their California Fluoroscopy License pending, but the license must be obtained within three months of the start date.

Recent hospital-based CT experience
Epic electronic medical record experience
Strong communication and patient care skills
Experience working in trauma or acute care settings
Bilingual abilities are a plus
