Seeking an experienced professional skilled in diagnostic imaging, specifically X-ray technology, to support patient care in a contract role. This opportunity covers a 13-week engagement, suited for individuals with a strong technical background and attention to detail. Work alongside a dedicated medical team and utilize a variety of imaging equipment to contribute to safe and accurate diagnoses.
Schedule:
- Five 8-hour evening shifts: Wednesday–Sunday, 3:30pm–12:00am
- No call requirements
Required Credentials and Skills:
- Active ARRT(R) certification required
- BLS certification
- Valid Rhode Island radiologic technologist license (will consider candidates with license pending)
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating X-ray equipment, including Philips, Carestream, and GE platforms, as well as portables and C-Arms
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced hospital or medical imaging setting
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating effectively with physicians and nurses
- Strong documentation and patient care skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray examinations following physician orders, adhering to safety protocols and departmental procedures
- Operate fixed and portable imaging equipment, accurately positioning patients for high-quality images
- Document patient history and imaging records in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Support a collaborative clinical environment focused on patient well-being and efficient workflow
- Ensure equipment maintenance and readiness for diagnostic imaging tasks
