Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification or eligibility as a Cytologist (ASCP or equivalent preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory cytology techniques, including specimen preparation and microscopic evaluation
- Ability to accurately identify cellular abnormalities and report results effectively
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with lab safety standards and compliance requirements
- Effective communicator, both with colleagues and clinicians
- At least one year of prior experience working in a cytopathology or clinical laboratory setting is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and evaluate cytologic specimens, including both gynecologic (GYN) and non-gynecologic samples
- Analyze slides using various staining and processing techniques to identify malignancy or cellular changes
- Accurately document all findings and maintain meticulous laboratory records
- Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure quality assurance
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure workspace is clean and organized
- Uphold standards of patient safety, specimen integrity, and laboratory best practices

$2,420 - $2,560/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
