Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- ASCP or equivalent certification in Cytotechnology is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology or a related field
- Previous experience as a Cytologist in a clinical laboratory setting
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and cytotechnologist protocols
- Solid understanding of laboratory safety, quality control, and regulatory standards
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine cellular samples using established laboratory techniques and protocols
- Identify cellular abnormalities and provide accurate diagnostic interpretations
- Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure reliable, timely results
- Maintain detailed records of findings in compliance with laboratory policies
