Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology, Biological Sciences, or closely related field
  • Certification as a Cytologist (ASCP or equivalent)
  • Previous experience evaluating gynecological and non-gynecological specimens
  • Proficient in microscopic examination and cellular morphology
  • Strong ability to apply laboratory safety and infection control standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and organization

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process cellular samples for microscopic review
  • Identify cellular abnormalities and contribute to the detection of disease including cancer
  • Work closely with pathologists to ensure comprehensive and timely reporting of results
  • Maintain clear, accurate laboratory records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality assurance and ongoing competency evaluations
  • Adhere strictly to laboratory guidelines for specimen integrity and safety

$2,420 - $2,560/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
