Histology Technician in Antioch, TN

Available Shifts

• ALL shifts available; strong need for 2nd and 3rd shift professionals (shift hours may vary)
• 2nd Shift: Additional $3/hour (shift differential applies after 4 hours worked)
• 3rd Shift: Additional $3.50/hour (shift differential applies after 4 hours worked)

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• At least 1 year of relevant laboratory work experience
• Certification: Histotechnician or Histotechnologist (ASCP)
• Experience in Histology and familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and quality control protocols

Key Duties

• Complete assigned daily workload, including embedding, cutting, and staining tissue—covering both histology and immunocytochemical procedures
• Carry out and document instrument maintenance and maintain records related to quality control
• Train, mentor, and provide support for other Histotechnologists and Histotechnicians
• Assess tissue for adequacy in the operating room, communicate findings to clinical staff, and properly process tissue specimens
• Troubleshoot laboratory processes as needed and consistently follow up on outstanding issues
• Additional responsibilities as required by laboratory leadership

Compensation

• Hourly pay ranges from $30.75 to $46.12, with shift differentials applied to second and third shifts for eligible hours
