Key Qualifications:

• Proficient in Laboratory Histology techniques
• Previous experience as a Histology Technician
• Must reside at least 50 miles away from Charleston (no local candidates)
• Current national certification or eligibility (ASCP preferred)
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced laboratory setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex histological procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, cutting, and staining
• Ensure specimens are handled safely and accurately to produce high-quality slides for pathologist review
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Document all activities according to laboratory protocols and compliance standards
• Work closely with laboratory personnel, supporting high standards of patient care and diagnostic accuracy
