Schedule:

  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm
  • Monday through Friday

Qualifications:

  • 4–5 years of hands-on experience in histology or a related laboratory discipline
  • Completion of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or science field
  • Valid Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) certification
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Thorough knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and compliance standards
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tissue specimens through cutting, embedding, and staining to enable microscopic examination by pathologists
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate calibrations and documentation
  • Perform quality control protocols and assist in process improvement projects
  • Accurately manage specimen identification and tracking to support workflow
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and clinicians to address questions, clarify requisitions, or resolve specimen discrepancies
  • Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and all relevant regulatory compliance standards
