Histology Technician - Detroit, MI

Schedule/Hours:

• Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a Histology Technician or Histologist
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Current HT or HTL certification (ASCP)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Solid understanding of laboratory techniques, quality control, and tissue processing protocols

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform embedding, microtomy, staining (routine and special), and coverslipping of specimens with high precision
• Assist in quality assurance activities, maintaining laboratory safety and regulatory compliance
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established procedures
• Accurately document results, maintain specimen integrity, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Collaborate with pathologists and team members to support timely diagnostic services
