Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, coordinate, and optimize laboratory programs and procedures, maintaining overall fiscal accountability for assigned sections.
- Formulate work goals and objectives aligned with strategic plans, overseeing budgets and program development to achieve measurable results.
- Oversee and evaluate payroll reports, FlexPTO, and staff performance appraisals with a focus on efficiency and compliance.
- Drive quality management and continuous process improvement, participating in the establishment and monitoring of service standards.
- Provide direct and effective people management, including conflict resolution, staff development, feedback, and performance coaching.
- Forecast resource needs, develop operational plans, and manage multiple projects across the laboratory to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations, interpreting complex policies and guiding team adherence.
- Foster a positive, high-achieving team climate through motivation, communication, and collaborative goal-setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least five years of relevant laboratory or histology leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Current Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor License (Medical Lab Board).
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical histology and laboratory best practices.
- Proficiency in quality management, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven business planning, operations, and people management skills.
