Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 5 years of relevant laboratory and supervisory experience
- Current Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor license
- Advanced knowledge in histology and laboratory science practices
- Demonstrated success in people management and operational planning
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinate all operations and programs within the laboratory
- Maintain fiscal accountability and oversee budgeting, payroll, and staffing
- Establish work goals and objectives aligned with organizational strategies
- Coach, mentor, and perform evaluations for technical and support staff
- Ensure compliance with quality management and regulatory standards
- Guide the development and implementation of innovative procedures to improve laboratory processes and outcomes
- Foster a positive work climate, motivate staff, and develop future leaders
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and manage FlexPTO utilization
