Histology in Warren, MI

Seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in histology to join for a 13-week assignment. Deliver high-quality laboratory services and support an efficient pathology team. This role focuses on critical histology tasks in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule:

• Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of recent experience in histology, laboratory technology, or as a histologist
• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Active HT (Histotechnician) or HTL (Histotechnologist) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proven proficiency with histology laboratory processes, equipment, and protocols
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination using established histologic techniques
• Perform embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting of tissue samples
• Assist pathologists in the accurate diagnosis of conditions based on prepared slides
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment within safety and quality guidelines
• Document specimen handling and maintain accurate laboratory records
• Troubleshoot process or equipment issues, reporting concerns as necessary
• Uphold all regulatory and quality assurance standards within the laboratory
