Laboratory Technician in Kansas City, KS

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour overnight shifts
• Hours: 6:45 pm – 7:15 am
• Every other weekend requirement

Qualifications:

• Current ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent laboratory experience
• Proven skills in specimen processing, analysis, and quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety standards and best practices
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask efficiently
• Effective communicator and team collaborator

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on patient samples
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure accurate performance
• Analyze data, verify results, and report findings to medical staff
• Uphold strict quality control and infection prevention protocols
• Assist with inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining organized work areas
