Laboratory Technician - Lenexa, KS

Deliver essential laboratory diagnostic services in a fast-paced healthcare environment as a Medical Laboratory Technician. This contract assignment is perfect for professionals who are confident in their ability to conduct laboratory testing and ensure the accuracy of results to support patient care.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights (6:45pm–7:15am)
• Every other weekend rotation

Qualifications:

• Current ASCP certification required
• At least one year of recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and regulatory standards
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate findings with clinical staff
• Proficiency in operating standard laboratory equipment and information systems

Responsibilities:

• Perform a broad range of clinical laboratory tests and procedures with high accuracy
• Analyze blood, urine, and other body fluid samples following established protocols
• Validate and record all laboratory results, ensuring data integrity
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; perform quality control checks as needed
• Comply with all applicable safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure swift turnaround of test results
• Monitor supply inventory and coordinate reordering when necessary
