Laboratory Technician | Olathe, Kansas

A dynamic and skilled Medical Laboratory Technician is needed to support vital laboratory operations on a 13-week assignment. This role requires a dedicated professional with strong technical experience ready to work a consistent night shift and contribute to accurate, timely patient diagnostics.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Nights: 6:45pm – 7:15am
• Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

• Certification through ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
• Minimum of one year’s recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Lab Tech
• Solid knowledge of laboratory equipment, safety protocols, and quality control measures
• Ability to troubleshoot instruments and procedures independently
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other bodily fluids following established protocols
• Maintain and calibrate lab instruments according to guidelines, promptly reporting malfunctions
• Accurately document and verify test results, ensuring compliance with laboratory quality assurance processes
• Collaborate with medical and technical staff to ensure prompt completion of laboratory orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations
• Respond to STAT requests and participate in shift hand-off communication for optimal continuity of care
