Laboratory Technician - Shawnee, Kansas

Schedule/Hours:

• 3 shifts of 12 hours each week
• Night shift: 6:45pm – 7:15am
• Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

• Current ASCP certification required
• Minimum of 1 year professional laboratory experience
• Associate’s degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
• Strong grasp of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with clinical staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of diagnostic tests, including specimen collection, analysis, and result interpretation
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring smooth daily workflow
• Adhere to all clinical safety protocols and maintain regulatory compliance
• Accurately document and verify laboratory test results in the electronic health record
• Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies
• Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and uphold laboratory accreditation standards
