Step into a vital laboratory role supporting critical diagnostic operations by utilizing your skills as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician. This is a six-month contract opportunity offering an evening shift from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm, Monday through Friday—with every weekend off. You'll make a direct impact by delivering timely, accurate test results across core laboratory disciplines in a supportive and technologically advanced environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification or associate/bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Technology required
  • Previous experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Specimen Processing, Blood Bank, and Microbiology highly preferred
  • Proficiency in laboratory instrumentation and quality control practices
  • Familiarity with Meditech laboratory information systems is an asset
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • No phlebotomy required for this position

Schedule:

  • Six-month contract term
  • Evening shift: 11:00 am–9:30 pm
  • Monday through Friday; no weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and process laboratory specimens accurately across assigned areas (excluding phlebotomy)
  • Interpret results and maintain thorough documentation according to established protocols
  • Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
  • Participate in quality assurance measures and maintain safety standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth flow of laboratory operations
  • Support cross-training needs or special projects as assigned
