Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) | Arcadia, Louisiana

This contract opportunity requires working evening and overnight shifts, providing essential support to patient care teams and ensuring accurate, timely lab results.

Schedule:

• 6pm to 6am
• Friday through Sunday

Key Requirements:

• Current Louisiana state license as an MT (Medical Technologist) or MLT (Medical Lab Technician)
• Completion of an accredited program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
• Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and procedures
• Ability to analyze samples, report critical values accurately, and perform quality control measures
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail, safety, and efficiency
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory testing across hematology, chemistry, immunology, and microbiology
• Prepare and examine samples while following established policies and protocols
• Verify accuracy of test results, performing additional procedures as needed
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cleanliness of workspaces
• Record and communicate laboratory findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Support ongoing improvements in lab processes and participate in continuing education as required

For your contributions, an hourly rate of $76.50 is offered for this assignment.
