Medical Technologist in Ballston Spa, NY

Schedule & Hours:

• 3x12 hour day shifts per week
• 36 hours per week guaranteed

Qualifications:

• Active New York State licensure as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician
• ASCP or AMT certification required
• Strong generalist skills with hands-on experience across core laboratory departments (Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology)
• Proficient in operating laboratory analyzers and interpreting results
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Adaptable to a fast-paced and collaborative healthcare setting

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform and validate a wide range of diagnostic laboratory tests according to established protocols
• Analyze samples, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain effective workflow within the lab
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to uphold compliance and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and laboratory colleagues to ensure the highest level of patient care
