Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) | Bethpage, New York

Medical Laboratory Technologists (MT) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) are needed for a contract position, providing essential diagnostic testing and analysis to support patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week contract duration
• Evening shift: 5x8s
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Flexible hours

Qualifications:

• Generalist with previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• ASCP or AMT certification highly preferred
• Active New York State License required
• Current COVID-19 vaccination status

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in all major areas: hematology, chemistry, blood bank, microbiology, and urinalysis
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results while adhering to regulatory standards
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated lab instrumentation and equipment
• Participate in specimen collection, processing, analysis, and result reporting
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
• Uphold strict protocols for laboratory safety and confidentiality
