Medical Technologist - Big Pine Key, FL

Seeking an experienced Medical Technologist for a contract assignment in a dynamic, well-equipped laboratory environment. This is a generalist role ideal for a well-rounded professional with expertise across all lab disciplines.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am
• 36 hours per week

Assignment Details:

• 24-week contract with potential for extension

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) through ASCP, AMT, or AAB (MLTs will not be considered)
• Active State of Florida laboratory license
• Submission of a college diploma or official transcripts
• Experience as a generalist Medical Technologist, comfortable rotating through various laboratory sections

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated proficiency in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, and blood banking
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced clinical settings with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for effective interaction with other healthcare professionals

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely analysis of clinical specimens across all major laboratory areas
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment
