Key Details:

  • Duration: 13-week contract
  • Schedule: Multiple shifts available

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Lab Technician (ASCP or equivalent)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
  • Proven experience operating laboratory instruments and performing testing in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures, laboratory safety, and regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with providers, laboratory staff, and other healthcare team members

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank as needed
  • Analyze, interpret, and report laboratory results to assist in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment, ensuring equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance activities, recognizing anomalies and troubleshooting as necessary
  • Adhere to all hospital and laboratory policies, including infection control and confidentiality protocols
  • Maintain organized records, participate in proficiency testing, and assist in training new staff or students as requested
