Key Qualifications:

  • Active New York State clinical laboratory license required
  • ASCP or equivalent certification highly preferred
  • Strong experience in clinical laboratory testing as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician
  • Competence as a generalist, with proven skill in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and microbiology
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and lab staff

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract assignment; schedule details to be discussed

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across all major disciplines
  • Validate, interpret, and report laboratory results accurately and promptly
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment with precision
  • Assist in quality control and quality assurance monitoring
  • Uphold laboratory policies, procedures, and infection control standards
  • Support specimen collection and proper documentation
  • Troubleshoot technical and instrumentation issues as needed
  • Contribute to a positive, efficient team environment
