Medical Technologist in Buford, GA

Seeking a skilled professional to perform essential laboratory testing within a dynamic healthcare environment for a six-month assignment. This position is tailored to individuals with strong technical expertise, supporting critical diagnostic functions and ensuring accurate, timely results to enhance patient care.

Schedule:

• Evening shift: 11:00 am – 9:30 pm
• Monday to Friday; no weekend shifts

Key Qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
• Experience performing diverse laboratory tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Specimen Processing, and Blood Bank required
• Ability to participate in Microbiology work when delegated
• Familiarity with Meditech laboratory information system preferred
• No phlebotomy responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a laboratory team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory analyses across multiple disciplines using established protocols
• Accurately process and analyze patient specimens to assist in diagnoses
• Validate, record, and report test results in compliance with quality standards and laboratory policies
• Contribute to instrument maintenance and quality assurance programs
• Maintain accurate inventory and documentation as required
• Collaborate with fellow technologists and communicate findings with clinical staff when indicated
