Medical Technologist in Chatham, VA

Schedule:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)

Key Qualifications:

• Certification or eligibility as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
• Demonstrated experience working in a clinical laboratory setting
• Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, procedures, and best practices
• Familiarity with quality control and safety regulations
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
• Effective communication skills for interactions with laboratory staff and healthcare providers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of analytical laboratory tests to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment with precision
• Process specimens and prioritize tasks to ensure timely reporting of results
• Adhere to all laboratory policies, quality standards, and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of processes and results
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality laboratory operations
