Medical Technologist in Cumming, GA

Advance your laboratory career with a dynamic role performing a broad range of clinical testing within a supportive healthcare environment. This position is a 6-month contract, offering exposure to diverse laboratory disciplines while collaborating with a skilled team.

Schedule:

• Evening shift: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
• Monday through Friday (No weekends)

Desired Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
• Experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Specimen Processing, and Blood Bank
• Exposure to Microbiology (when designated)
• Familiarity with Meditech laboratory information systems is highly desirable
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• No phlebotomy required for this position

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform laboratory testing and analyses across core disciplines, ensuring quality and reliability of results
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments according to established protocols
• Carefully document and report findings to support effective patient care decisions
• Ensure the integrity and proper handling of specimens during processing
• Uphold all safety, quality, and compliance standards in accordance with laboratory and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise
• Collaborate with other lab professionals and healthcare providers as needed
