Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS ASCP or equivalent) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT ASCP or equivalent)
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or related field
- Previous experience in a high-complexity clinical laboratory preferred
- Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, analyzers, and quality control protocols
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and report complex laboratory data
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adherence to laboratory safety regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and/or blood bank according to established procedures
- Accurately document and report test results to healthcare providers within required timeframes
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments; troubleshoot equipment as needed
- Monitor quality control and participate in proficiency testing to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a safe laboratory environment
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow and excellent patient care
