Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) | Danville, Virginia

Seeking an experienced Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to support a dynamic laboratory setting. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your skills in clinical laboratory analysis within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Schedule:

• 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret a variety of laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and microbiology
• Accurately document and report results following established protocols
• Maintain proper functioning and cleanliness of laboratory instruments and workspaces
• Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards and laboratory safety procedures
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to deliver timely, accurate patient diagnostics

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program
• Current national certification as an MT or MLT (ASCP or equivalent)
• Experience performing moderate and high complexity testing in a hospital or clinical laboratory
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with laboratory and clinical teams

This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate of $65. You'll work within a fast-paced setting, gaining valuable experience while advancing your laboratory skills.
