Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Accepts certifications from ASCP or AMT
• Previous experience with blood banking is highly desired
• Competent in all aspects of laboratory testing, with an emphasis on blood bank methods and procedures
• Preferred: phlebotomy skills with ability to collect and process blood specimens
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in results
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform and evaluate a full range of laboratory tests, focusing on blood banking assignments, including cross-matching, antibody screening, and compatibility testing

• Complete required documentation to ensure traceability and integrity of all samples
