Schedule and Duration:

  • 13-week contract

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science required
  • Certification by a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA)
  • 2-3 years previous experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician, or in a similar capacity
  • Familiarity with Beckman Coulter laboratory equipment (AU system experience highly preferred)
  • Experience with Sunquest Laboratory Information System (LIS) and laboratory automation preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory analysis on blood and body fluid samples utilizing both manual techniques and sophisticated lab instrumentation
  • Operate and maintain Beckman Coulter equipment and support the use of laboratory information systems
  • Comply with testing protocols and quality control guidelines to ensure accurate outcomes
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures as outlined by regulatory standards
  • Provide specimen collection, including phlebotomy, as needed
  • Document and report laboratory findings to supervising staff and clinicians in a timely manner
