Schedule/Hours:
- Standard healthcare shift hours; specific scheduling to be discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
- Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
- At least 2-3 years of prior experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician.
- Proficiency with Beckman Coulter equipment; AU system experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Sunquest Laboratory Information System (LIS) and laboratory automation preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Phlebotomy skills a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of laboratory procedures on blood and various body fluid samples following well-established protocols.
- Operate laboratory instruments and automated systems, ensuring routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Accurately document and interpret test results using information systems.
- Adhere to quality control standards and safety guidelines to maintain lab compliance.
- Collaborate with supervisors, technologists, and other staff to ensure efficient workflow and support high-quality patient care.
- Perform venipuncture on patients, when required.
