Schedule/Hours:

  • Standard healthcare shift hours; specific scheduling to be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
  • Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
  • At least 2-3 years of prior experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician.
  • Proficiency with Beckman Coulter equipment; AU system experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Sunquest Laboratory Information System (LIS) and laboratory automation preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Phlebotomy skills a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of laboratory procedures on blood and various body fluid samples following well-established protocols.
  • Operate laboratory instruments and automated systems, ensuring routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Accurately document and interpret test results using information systems.
  • Adhere to quality control standards and safety guidelines to maintain lab compliance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, technologists, and other staff to ensure efficient workflow and support high-quality patient care.
  • Perform venipuncture on patients, when required.
