Seeking a skilled professional to support laboratory operations by performing complex testing and analyses as a vital part of the healthcare team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and reliability in laboratory results. Multiple shifts are available, providing flexibility to accommodate varying schedules throughout the 13-week contract duration.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment
- Process and analyze specimens, interpreting results with attention to precision and quality
- Document findings, maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
- Collaborate with clinical team members to report findings and answer technical questions
- Troubleshoot instrument or assay problems promptly and efficiently
- Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards
- Participate in continuing education to maintain current knowledge in laboratory testing and procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field required
- Demonstrated experience working in a clinical laboratory environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with current laboratory instrumentation and information systems
