Medical Technologist in Elko, NV

This role calls for skilled Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Technicians with a generalist background to participate in a rewarding assignment in an accredited lab.

Schedule:

• 13-week contract, with the possibility of extension
• Night shift: 4x10-hour shifts weekly
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Generalist in a clinical laboratory setting
• Certification by ASCP or AMT required
• Nevada state license preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption accepted

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct and analyze laboratory tests across various disciplines including chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and transfusion services
• Maintain rigorous quality control standards and adhere to all lab safety and infection control protocols
• Accurately document test results and communicate significant findings to appropriate clinical personnel
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment efficiently
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare staff to deliver high-quality patient care and support overall lab operations
