Medical Technologist in Fitchburg, MA

Schedule:

• 4x10-hour night shifts (specific hours will be discussed during the interview)

Desired Qualifications:

• Current ASCP certification is mandatory
• At least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience
• Demonstrated skills as a Medical Technologist, Medical Lab Technician, or in comparable roles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency with laboratory equipment and technology
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols
• Analyze biological specimens including blood, urine, and other body fluids to assist in diagnosis and patient management
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate complex laboratory instruments and analyzers
• Ensure strict adherence to quality control and safety standards within the laboratory environment
• Accurately document results and promptly communicate findings to healthcare providers
• Maintain organized records and participate in laboratory proficiency testing as needed
• Assist with training or mentoring of new staff when required
