Seeking a skilled laboratory professional to provide essential diagnostic testing and analysis as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician in a Generalist capacity. In this contract opportunity, you will play a key role in supporting healthcare providers and ensuring accurate laboratory results.

Schedule:

  • Evenings
  • Five 8-hour shifts per week

Qualifications:

  • Active ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification required
  • Credentialed as a Medical Technologist or MLT (Medical Lab Technician)
  • Proficiency in performing a wide array of routine and specialized laboratory tests as a Generalist
  • Solid understanding of laboratory safety, quality control, and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Effective collaborative and communication abilities within laboratory and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and analyze tests in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, and blood bank departments
  • Ensure accuracy, precision, and timeliness in all laboratory results
  • Maintain strict adherence to established protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Perform quality control procedures and document results accordingly
  • Contribute to laboratory process improvements and uphold high standards for patient care
  • Provide accurate and clear communication of test results to clinicians and team members
