Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related scientific field
- Valid ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification required
- Proven experience working as a Medical Technologist or MLT in a clinical laboratory environment
- Strong knowledge of laboratory best practices, safety protocols, and quality control measures
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
- Effective communicator with the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Analyze body fluids, tissues, and other specimens, reporting accurate results to providers
- Maintain and calibrate lab instruments, ensuring quality and reliability of test results
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards throughout all processes
- Document findings, results, and quality control data in laboratory information systems
- Troubleshoot issues with tests, equipment, or procedures as needed
- Contribute to a collaborative atmosphere, supporting colleagues and participating in ongoing education
