Required Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
  • Completion of an accredited laboratory science or medical technology program
  • Current ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Proficient in conducting, interpreting, and reporting laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunology, and microbiology
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a wide range of analyses on patient specimens following established laboratory procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting of test results
  • Perform instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed
  • Adhere to all infection control, safety guidelines, and compliance standards
  • Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education to stay current with laboratory best practices
  • Provide orientation and support to new or less-experienced staff as required
