Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) | Homer, Louisiana

Schedule:

• 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
• Friday through Sunday

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Louisiana (LA) clinical laboratory license is required
• Certification and experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician
• Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures and operation of laboratory equipment
• Strong understanding of quality control, safety protocols, and laboratory best practices
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely reporting of results
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration with the healthcare team

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and efficient analysis of blood, body fluids, and other specimens
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as needed
• Prepare samples, perform quality controls, and document all results appropriately
• Adhere to established protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control standards
• Support patient diagnosis and treatment through timely lab reporting
• Collaborate with peers and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality outcomes

This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate of $76.50 along with an opportunity to further develop your skills in a dynamic environment. The weekend/night schedule provides flexibility for other interests or obligations during the week.
