Medical Technologist in Homer, LA

Schedule:

• 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Friday through Sunday

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of laboratory analyses including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and microbiology.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment for optimal accuracy.
• Adhere to all quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Accurately document and report test results in a timely manner to the appropriate healthcare providers.
• Assist with inventory management and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Louisiana state license as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
• Proven experience working as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with standard laboratory instrumentation and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing precise, reliable results.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently overnight, as well as part of a collaborative team.
