Qualifications:
- Current and valid New York State license as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
- Demonstrated experience as a Generalist in laboratory operations
- Familiarity with quality assurance procedures and laboratory safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
- Proficient in a range of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and computer applications
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests across multiple diagnostic areas (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, etc.)
- Analyze test results with accuracy and ensure timely reporting to healthcare providers
- Maintain proper documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies
- Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments; troubleshoot issues as needed
- Ensure a sterile and safe laboratory environment through adherence to best practices
- Assist in quality control procedures to uphold the integrity of laboratory data
