Medical Technologist in Kansas City, KS

Seeking a skilled Medical Technologist for a 13-week contract opportunity. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about laboratory science and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Rotating shifts: 7:00–15:30 and 12:00–20:30
• Every other weekend required
• No floating between departments

Qualifications:

• Current ASCP certification is required
• Experience working as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting
• Strong understanding of laboratory testing, protocols, and safety standards
• Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment efficiently
• Solid analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, interpreting and reporting results accurately
• Maintain strict adherence to quality control procedures and regulatory requirements
• Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments as needed
• Ensure accurate documentation of all test results and quality assurance activities
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to support patient diagnosis and treatment
• Adhere to infection control and laboratory safety protocols at all times
