Medical Technologist in Key Colony Beach, FL

An outstanding opportunity is available for a skilled and well-rounded Medical Technologist to contribute expertise in a fast-paced laboratory setting. This generalist role requires a detail-oriented professional who excels in various diagnostic testing areas and meets rigorous credentialing standards.

Schedule:

• 3 on/3 off pattern, primarily 6pm-6am (36 hours per week)
• Some weeks will include four shifts: 2 shifts at 9 hours, 2 shifts at 12 hours (totaling 42 hours in those weeks)

Key Qualifications:

• Must hold certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP, AMT, or AAB accepted)
• Valid State of Florida lab license required
• Completion of a college degree in a related field (diploma or official transcripts mandatory)
• Experience as a generalist across all laboratory sections; expertise with hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and immunology highly valued
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently on overnight shifts
• Strong communication and documentation skills, maintaining laboratory standards and quality controls

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of laboratory diagnostic tests across multiple specialties, ensuring accuracy and rapid turnaround
• Analyze, interpret, and validate results using advanced instrumentation and methodologies
• Follow strict safety, regulatory, and quality protocols in all technical procedures
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in internal quality assurance programs
• Collaborate closely with clinical teams, supporting patient diagnosis and treatment decisions
• Maintain inventory, calibrate equipment, and assist with troubleshooting technical issues
