Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) - Lauderdale, Mississippi

Exciting opportunity for skilled laboratory professionals to take on a Generalist role as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician. In this dynamic contract position, you'll be an essential member of the lab team, contributing to patient care with accuracy and expertise over 26 weeks.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Night shift

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or eligibility to obtain
• Proven experience working as a generalist in a high-volume laboratory environment
• Strong proficiency in clinical laboratory procedures spanning hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, and immunology
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently during night shifts while collaborating with the broader healthcare team

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of diagnostic laboratory tests and analyze specimens with precision and efficiency
• Maintain accurate records and ensure quality control procedures are followed meticulously
• Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instrumentation as needed
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding test results
• Contribute to ongoing efforts to ensure patient safety, lab accuracy, and regulatory compliance
