Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
  • Successful completion of an accredited laboratory training program
  • Experience with a variety of laboratory instrumentation, equipment calibration, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality control procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication abilities to collaborate with team members and other healthcare professionals

Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical laboratory testing, including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, and immunology analyses
  • Verify and document test results, maintaining accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Ensure all equipment and instruments are operated, maintained, and calibrated according to established protocols
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures
  • Handle and process specimens in accordance with established guidelines
  • Participate in continuing education and in-service training to stay current with best practices
  • Assist with training and orienting new laboratory staff as needed
