An opportunity is available for an experienced medical technologist to join a clinical laboratory team in a full-time, permanent capacity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background as a generalist, with particular expertise in blood bank procedures. The role is designed for those seeking stability and professional growth in a laboratory setting.

  • 1st shift

Qualifications:

  • Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license required
  • Prior experience as a laboratory generalist, with strong proficiency in blood bank operations
  • Formal certification with ASCP is not required
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Effective communicator with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tests and diagnostic procedures across all laboratory sections, with an emphasis on transfusion medicine and blood banking
  • Process, analyze, and interpret laboratory specimens according to established protocols
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure quality control standards are consistently met
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to provide timely and reliable test results
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot minor equipment issues
  • Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements, including laboratory accreditation standards
