Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) | Marathon, Florida

Seeking an experienced and well-rounded Medical Technologist for a Generalist position. This contract role is ideal for professionals with strong analytical and technical laboratory skills eager to support high-quality healthcare delivery. The assignment is for 24 weeks, with the possibility of extension.

Schedule:

• 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
• 36 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Certification required: ASCP, AMT, or AAB
• Valid State of Florida laboratory license
• College diploma (or official transcripts)
• Cannot submit MLT; only applicants with full MT credentials are eligible
• Comfortable working as a generalist across multiple laboratory disciplines (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and more)
• Effective communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis on a range of specimens following established protocols
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments with a high standard of accuracy
• Ensure quality control procedures and laboratory safety practices are strictly adhered to
• Accurately record and analyze data, reporting results to relevant healthcare personnel in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot test discrepancies and assist with corrective actions as needed
• Collaborate with other medical technologists, laboratory personnel, and healthcare professionals to support patient care

$2,270 - $2,394/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
