Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid New York State license as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Generalist experience across clinical laboratory disciplines, including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, and blood bank
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related field for MTs; Associate’s degree for MLTs
• Experience with laboratory equipment, analyzers, and information systems
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to laboratory protocols and quality standards
• Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative laboratory team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and efficient laboratory testing on patient specimens in multiple disciplines
• Operate and maintain complex laboratory instruments and analyzers, ensuring optimal performance
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and safety protocols in the handling and processing of samples
• Review and validate results, troubleshooting errors or instrument malfunctions as needed
• Record, interpret, and communicate results to healthcare providers promptly
• Participate in quality assurance and continual process improvement initiatives
